“It looks like it might start raining soon, are you guys okay to start or do you want to hang out under the cover and keep an eye on the radar?” I asked Carly and Riccardo just a few minutes after meeting up with them for their engagement session.
They quickly responded with, “Oh yeah, we’re good! We’re always up for adventure!”

I think that first impression of their attitude towards the incoming storm we might possibly face really spoke volumes about their personalities and relationship. It was easy to tell from the beginning that they are spontaneous, adventurous, and always down for a good time! Carly and Riccardo had smiles on their face from the very start of our session all the way to the end.

I have known Riccardo since we met in high school and became friends. When I got the message from him inquiring about taking photos for his wedding I was ecstatic! Not only would I get to catch up with an old friend and get to see him on one of the most important days of his life, I also would get to finally meet his beautiful bride!

Now, I have not seen Riccardo in years, but sure enough when he arrived I could tell within moments that he was the exact same sweet, funny guy I had always known. Except something was different. He was beaming. And the whole reason for this light in his eyes was the gorgeous woman standing beside him, Carly. She was kind, intelligent and had a silly side that perfectly matched his. As I watched them interact with each other during our session, I realized something very unique about these two. If Riccardo smiles, it immediately makes Carly smile. Even when she wasn’t looking at him, it was like she could feel his joy and it became hers. If Carly moved, Riccardo instinctively would move with her. Being around them, it doesn’t take long to see this special connection they have with each other. You can almost feel it through the photos, like you are there in the moment with them.

You two are both absolutely wonderful and I am so happy we found a day that worked for us to get these photos before your wedding. It’s such a special time and I just know you will cherish these memories of you two together right before you officially became Mr. & Mrs.!! It was a blast walking through the park and getting a sneak preview of how everything would look on your wedding day! Thank you for everything!
